Any LA/OC people in the house?

Hey everyone. New to plotbot but I'm applying to transfer this year to either USC, UCLA, and NYU (I want to direct) and I'm looking to collaborate with people within a close proximity to Los Angeles and the OC for convenient networking purposes.

And no this is not a creepy attempt to make friends and have drinks and do each other's nails and all that jazz. Frankly, I have enough company as it is and I'm just here for business. Ultimately I would like to collaborate on a screenplay that could be made into an actual short film (maybe feature if it's got potential) being I've never really collaborated with anyone before so it should be interesting.

Not gonna leave my e-mail address or anything because, after all, this is the internet, but I'll just leave a little tidbit about myself and whoever's interested will hopefully respond before this thread is buried into oblivion.

Style: No real style or preference, but not a big fan of sci fi/fantasy, fan-fiction,or torture porn. I admire films from the likes of Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Ingmar Bergman, Akira Kurosawa, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Paul Thomas Anderson, etc

Preferences: I'd like to make something cerebral but not hipster or pretentious. The best way I can describe it is, if I go light, it would be something along the lines of Woody Allen, if I go dark, I'm thinking Scorsese.

Alrighty, thanks for all your time and if anyone's interested I'll check this thread out every now and then for hits (if it's still alive after a few months I'll be very surprised). Again, thanks.
