Outline
The Outline is your screenplay's treatment. This is where you let your readers and fellow writers know what your screenplay is about - a summation of all that is to come. Your outline can be as long or as short as you feel it needs to be. Some use the outline to sketch out general ideas, while many screenwriters use the Outline as the basis for the Scene Descriptions.
You can lock the outline at any time to prevent further edits. And don’t worry about losing great ideas while revising - you can always scroll back through all revisions made to the outline.
