A commercial airliner has suffered partial engine failure and is plummeting toward the sea below. The captain announces that everyone has fifteen minutes left to live. People are unsure of what to do, and different people deal with the crisis in different ways. Several characters make decisions they would not have made under ordinary circumstances. However, at the last minute, the engine comes back to life, and everyone is saved. While everyone is ecstatic to have escaped death, several people have difficult dilemmas waiting for them at their destination...
