Elyce (in her head)

High school sucks. Not sure if anyone can really argue with that. You have every type of person: the smart, the dumb, the egotistical, the shy, the sporty, the fat. And being with these people for seven hours a day, five days a week, 180 days a year, four years...can make you hate all of them. Personalities you once loved, are now the spawns of satan. And people you hated a first site, well, you still hate them. Maybe even a little more. But, as long as I have a solid group of friends, I guess I'm good. And until I can get out of here, I'll just wait it out.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce sits down in a history class. The class begins to have a intent conversation about cultures moving from east to west and west to east. Elyce simply observes.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Teacher

Elyce, Ivy, do you have anything to say?

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Ivy

Well, it's interesting how the Mongols traveled in every which direction...

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce (in her head)

Crap. Now I have to think of something smart and intellectual. I wish I could just be like "Nope I have nothing to say." But I'm pretty sure that won't fly.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Teacher

What about you, Elyce?

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Yeah, the mongols are really interesting. I think using the mules to fight was less of a traveled thing but more of a popular trend kind of thing, how it traveled I mean, it was just picked up. It was cool and the next big thing...

Moves to after class. Elyce leaves and is walking to lunch now. Chris catches up to her.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

chris

What you said about the Mongols was very...intellectual.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014 2 versions.

Elyce

Oh shut up, Chris. I had to think on the spot. I hate that. I hate it when teachers are like 'now, say something brilliant about this or the whole class will judge you.'

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Chris

yeah, I guess.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Ugh, I know, you never have that problem because you always volunteer to talk. Because you always have something to say.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014 2 versions.

Chris

I mean, not in every class.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Oh really?

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Chris

Yeah, occasionally.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Sure, sure.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Josie catches up to them.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Josie

Hey guys

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Chris

Hey, Josie

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Hey. So, Josie, did you finish last night's reading for history?

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Josie

No, I didn't think people actually read those.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Chris

Well, you should.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Thanks, Chris, (joking) for beating to it. I was going to tell her and she would thank me for saving her. But, you should, we had to talk about the reading.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Chris

Yes, (sarcastically) and Elyce just blew everybody out of the park!

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Elyce

Ok, your thing about the Ottomans revolutionizing the world wasn't that innovative. No offense.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

Chris

Ok, yeah, but it made sense.

cgoray - on 01/30/2014

josie

Ok, I don't know what you two are talking about, but where's Celeste?

cgoray - on 01/31/2014 2 versions.

Celeste And Jeff jump in.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014 2 versions.

Celeste

Right here. What are guys talking about?

cgoray - on 02/03/2014 3 versions.

Jeff

All I heard was how Chris' talk about the Ottomans revolutionized our views on modern Europe.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Elye

What? No. The opposite--

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Chris

They did. It was pretty amazing.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Elyce

You know it wasn't. You know it wasn't...awesome.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Celeste

Such vocabulary: awesome.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Jeff

Yes, interesting. You could have used inadequate, unsatisfying, bland, and you chose not awesome.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Josie

Wait--what does awesome have to do with any of this.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Elyce

It doesn't. They're just telling me I need to buy a dictionary. But sometimes, I'm just, lost for words, that's all. We all get like that.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014 2 versions.

Jeff

You don't need to tell Josie that.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Josie

What do you mean?

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Jeff

You know, you sometimes just sound confusing. Mainly because you are confused.

cgoray - on 01/31/2014

Josie

HEY!... That only happens sometimes.. now that I think about it.

cgoray - on 02/01/2014 3 versions.

Jeff laughs. Everyone continues to have lunch.
