Last year, Roosevelt chapters used trainings like these to help conceive and execute some truly awesome projects –the Arizona State University chapter worked to build a hydroponic garden that brought sustainable food production to their campus. Students from the University of Georgia dove into the Deepwater oil spill and wrote responsible policy in response to the disaster. Yale created a program called New Haven Promise, designed to guarantee students who finish high school in New Haven have the opportunity to attend college. There’s a lot more, and all those projects grew out of brainstorms like we’re going to do today.
The data produced today will become part of theongoing Roosevelt project, following up on the Blueprint for Millennial America. . The Roosevelt Institute | Campus Network believes that it’s time for a new generation to take on the mantel of ideas. As a generation, we need to find a set of values, of common goals, that we can work toward. To that end, Roosevelt has been recording the feedback of groups like ours, on campuses throughout the country. The feedback they are getting is going into an ongoing project that defines the voice of our generation.
