Pre-titles sequence. Sandy Forbes, in khaki tee and slacks is brushing teeth, humming ‘Johnny Cope’, opening bedroom curtains to beginnings of a winter sunrise reflected from the forth river and bridge. Visible in the foreground is Inverlour Whitesands beach where Helen Birrell is walking Sapper while Karen Laidlaw and Jay Slater huddle on the promenade wall.
