MADDI talks on the phone with intent, as if she was born to tell this story--And to some extent she is, it seems.

Ok...So there was this man... And one day he met this woman. They decided that they loved each other very much and they should get married and have a little girl. And there was this other couple who decided the same thing, but they had a boy. And for some reason, for some strange cosmic coincidence, they moved next to each other and this boy and girl became best friends... And then they became potheads. Now get down here and smoke this blunt with me before I drag your lazy ass out of bed and get sassier than you've ever seen me.

Screenplays are composed of three types of elements: slugline, action, and dialogue.

Sluglines define the location the scene (i.e. INT. CAFE - NIGHT), actions explain what will happen onscreen, and dialogue is what the characters will say.

The screenwriting flow is simple. To edit an element, click on it. To create a new element, click at the bottom of the screenplay or click into an element and press ENTER.

The default element is an action. You can convert it to a dialogue element by pushing TAB. Push TAB again, and you'll convert the element to a slugline.

When an element is editable, you'll see the background color change to yellow. To save your changes push ENTER, TAB, or click out of the field.

Writing with Plotbot
