From 1975 to 1984, James "The Devil" DeValera was one of the greatest boxers of his time. In 1997, James is now a garbage man in Atlantic City, NJ, a recovering pill addict and bankrupt. James recollects his life, from the death of his father, his boxing career and the car accident that destroyed his career, after news of his younger brother's death, the man who helped him launch his career.
