Alex is a teenage boy, trying to fit in. He hardly communicates with his parents who try everything to help him.

One night, a woman with strange accent phones. Alex answers but his mom grabs the phone before he can hear too much.

He eventually discovers she was her biological mother, living in Iceland. His world tears apart and he decides to leave to search for them. His friends Tom, Elliot, Charlie and Chloe hear about it and join him,not wanting to let him go alone.
