A little about the Operation...
Operation Smoking Dragon is the project that started this whole Plotbot thing. Because, really, writing awesomely bad eighties action movies is a lot of fun.
We'd like to squeeze every eighties action movie trope into this screenplay, if possible. If we miss anything, there's plenty of room for sequels. At the same time, we'd like to make a somewhat entertaining story that makes just a wee bit of sense. And we'd like to do it with as many people as possible. Dozens. Hundreds.
So please, join up and start writing! Put all those lonely afternoons with Showtime and Cinemax to use. You know you want to.

Sequels! I hadn't even considered it! — star, two years ago
Hells yeah! You always have to be thinking two steps ahead in this biz, kid. Franchise isn't just how McDonald's makes all its money. I think we could at least squeeze six movies out of this. Ten if we're lucky. And don't get me started about prequels. — brad, two years ago
speaking of sequels, this is only partially relevant... i just saw a bit of a chuck norris movie, 1991's "The Hitman," and the sequence to which i'm referring featured a CARBOMB. Now, I can't think of a really good way off the top of my head to work this in, but let's say the Dragon is 'captured' at the end, or something like that, and right at the end of the film, TANNER's car gets BLOWN UP, and someone receives a note saying 'courtesy of the Dragon...' with some dramatic zooms and music... Anyway, I think the car bomb is a must have for an 80s action movie. — capcoy, two years ago

I think a good round of Chuck Norris watching is always called for. Especially the Delta Force ouevre. — brad, two years ago
Chuck would fit in well here.... I have the Chuck Norris facts widget on my mac, so I'm ready. — stewmac23, a year ago
