1. Wedding Preparations
The fake big day arrives, and it promises to be successful: all of the leaders of the gang have turned out to celebrate the marriage. As the guests arrive, in their glitzy limos, shiny suits and trophy wives, they're closely watched by FBI agents perched on neighboring buildings.
In the dressing room, Kris slips a pistol into the garter-belt holster underneath her wedding dress. Dave tucks a snub nose pistol into his tux, and the pastor hides a sawed-off shotgun in his robes.

2. Wedding Ceremony
The guests are seated and, after a few words from the faux pastor, Kris starts her walk down the aisle.
As everyone is distracted by the ceremony, agents surround the chapel.
The best man's handgun falls from his jacket to the floor, startling the crowd. He laughs it off (after all, who doesn't have a weapon at a mob wedding?), but an agent panics and shouts "FREEZE! You're all under arrest!".
Meanwhile, all hell breaks loose outside.

3. Battle Royale In the Chapel
All hell breaks loose. The guests bust out their weapons. The pastor blasts a few bad guys with his shotgun. Kris pulls out her pistol and hides behind the altar, while Dave chases after the Smoking Dragon--who's trying to escape out a side door.
Dave chases after him--cornering Smoking Dragon and his two henchmen by his limo. Smoking Dragon smiles smarmily and says he trusted Dave like a son. Dave righteously talks about justice; Smoking Dragon tells Dave to kill him while he has the chance--that's the only real justice.
Dave, ever moral, refuses, and tries to arrest them.Smoking Dragon smirks and opens the door to his limo, revealing ANOTHER HENCHMAN with a SHOTGUN who shoots Dave. Kris runs out of the church just in time to see Dave crumple to the ground as the limo speeds away. Kris frantically tries to revive him.

4. Awards Ceremony
LATER. Cpt Tanner speaks at an awards ceremony. He's in full formal dress and recounting Kris' valor at the sting. Kris stands beside him, and a squad of officers in formal dress flank her.
Tanner declares the sting a success: they captured twelve high-level Dragon Scales operatives. Barely choking back tears, Kris accepts her medal.
Backstage, when Tanner privately congratulates her, Kris tears into him for celebrating the failure of the sting. Capt. Tanner offers world-wise advice about the big picture that fails to comfort Kris.

5. Drinking fit
Kris leaves with her sister, Jody, and Jody's daughter Heather. They drop Kris off at home; she wants to be alone. It's clear Kris can't shake it. She's drinking and, in a fit of rage, destroys her medal.
6. Back at Work
Kris shows up to work the next day - but should Kris be back to work so soon?
Sgt./Det. Berkoff, an older, kindly fellow, attempts to console Kris and encourage her to take some time off to get herself together.
Kris speaks to Tanner. She insists they act now on taking down The Dragon. Since she witnessed Dave's murder, they finally have charges against Smoking Dragon that will stick. She thinks they can team up with Hong Kong authorities to extradite him, but Tanner knows better. He explains how difficult it would be to work with the Hong Kong police, and tells her to ease up. He forces her to take a "vacation."
Kris snaps - she throws her badge and gun on his desk, grabs a file from her desk and leaves.

7. Kidnapping!
As soon as Kris gets home, her phone rings. The caller is panicked -- Kris says she'll be right over and heads out.
Back at Jody's place, we discover that Heather is missing. She explains that she put Heather to bed just an hour earlier, and when she went to check up on her, she was gone. As Heather surveys the room, she finds a throwing star emblazoned with the Smoking Dragon's symbol embedded in the wall above the bed.
The cops and Det. Berkoff arrive. Berkoff tells Kris they've heard from the Dragon -- he's offering a trade for the kid. He wants Kris.
Kris vows to get the kid back -- "If the Dragon wants me, he'll get me, alright." Berkoff lets Kris know that it's dangerous, and she shouldn't do anything rash -- the FBI'll get him, and they'll do it by the book. Kris insists she won't, and asks Bertoff to take care of her sister -- she's going home.

9. Arrived in Hong Kong
Ken, her inside man from her undercover days, is waiting for her at the airport with Zhang, another friend of theirs. He reminds her that the Dragon isn't someone to mess with, and the word on the street is that he's very angry.
He's brought her a bag with a change of clothes, a few guns, and a wig to disguise herself with - "that blonde head of yours is a dead giveaway." He gives her the keys to a car at his garage, and they part ways when Kris insists on staying at a hotel. Ken is worried about her, but knows that either of them putting her up will put them in jeopardy. Kris thinks she sees someone watching her.

10. Dark Hallway Tussle
Kris changes into her disguise in her room. With the wig and clothes change, she's a transformed woman -- hardly recognizable.
Inside the hotel bar, a few men gossip about her in Mandarin. She shocks them by chastising them in their language. She notices the man who appeared to be watching her is sitting in the back of the bar. She gets up, and he follows.
She sees the man following her, and quickly ducks into a utility hallway. Poised and ready to strike, she waits for him to pass. But when he does, he does so without incident, shooting a glance at her and moving forward.
Suddenly, she's grabbed from behind by someone else. She ends up in a full-on kung fu battle -- as bad-ass as you're ever going to see on the silver screen! In the course of the battle, her wig is torn off, freeing her blonde hair. Her assailant backs away quickly and removes his mask -- he knows Kris!
The attacker is Lee-- Kris' old boyfriend! They exchange jokes about "thinking they recognized that fighting style," and reminisce awkwardly about old times. He used to be a cop, they used to be an item. He went AWOL. They broke up acrimoniously, but there's still a flame there for both of them. He speaks a little snidely about Dave; he was jealous of their relationship. There are no hard feelings about the fight.

11. Lee's Place
The two go back to his lair, a converted warehouse filled with weapons and gadgets. Cody, his computer geek sidekick is there, working on a computer.
Kris tells Lee the situation; he's freaked out that she's trying to get Smoking Dragon, because that's who hired him. Lee is now a mercenary. Do we trust him? He may be the only one that can help her!
Lee doesn't want to work for the Dragon, but won't say why. Between the lines, we sense that the Dragon's blackmailing him.
Just then, the garage door opens, and Dragon toughs enter! They ask Lee roughly where she is, what happened. He says, chill out, I've got her right here... He leads them to where she was eavesdropping--but she's gone!

12. Speed boats
Kris begins investigating on her own. With Ken's help, she manages to shake down some low-level Scales. The ensuing fight sequence ends up with Kris in a speedboat in the bay, being chased by another speedboat and helicopters. Miraculously, Lee arrives in another speed boat to save the day!
We think Lee's on her side. We learn that his brother has been murdered, and Lee's certain it was an inside job -- his brother was in the witness protection program. He thinks someone in Kris' office is a double agent, because no one else would have had access to the information. And he's certain it was the Smoking Dragon that betrayed him.

13. Planning
Kris works with Cody on some hunches she has, and he shows her how he can hack into records with his MODEM!
Kris checks back in with Berkoff and her sister. Berkoff insists she get in touch with Tanner, who is "worried sick about" her. Tanner offers to put Kris back on the force and give her all the backup he can provide. Cody hands some dot-matrix printouts to Kris while she's on the phone, and a look of shock crosses her face. Kris tells Tanner she'll be alright, but she has to do this on her own.
Kris and Lee assemble a team, including Cody, Ken, Zhang, and another associate of Lee's named Zhou. Zhou is a recent turncoat from the Dragon's organization and provides them with key details about the security features of the Dragon's lair. Getting in seems an insurmountable task, since it is UNDERWATER with THICK STEEL WALLS. Nonetheless, the team discusses an involved plan to get the Dragon and get Heather back, but the audience is only privy to part of it.

14. Dirigible Chase
Kris leaps from a moving helicopter onto a fully-inflated Zeppelin and proceeds to fight a number of air-dropped sky-divers while traversing its trampoline-like surface. Perhaps she is rescuing a hostage from the compartment below? I haven't thought that far...but I want a dirigible fight scene.
15. The Rage of the Dragon
After the failure of the Airship, the Smoking Dragon falls into a somber mood. The Dragon has one of his lieutenants called in. He speaks calmly to the lieutenant, gets up from his velvety chair, throws off his cape, hands his cane to another lieutenant and glides to the one he's had called in. Continuing to speak on honor, loyalty, integrity, he lands on results, and success. Then, in a moment of quiet, he slams the heel of his hand into the chest of his lieutenant so HARD that it causes his HEART to STOP.
The Dragon then grabs his cane back and yells: "Take him away!" He then grumbles audibly: "And fail me no more."
