WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE WORLD IS YOURSELF, AND IT TURNS AGAINST YOU?

Neil Hanson is a belabored programmer sttruggling to keep up with his projects and going over his head in debt. He collapses from exhaustion into what seems like a hallucinated dream just hours from a crucial deadline. He finds himself the ruler of a world that reflects himself, his life, and his program, which means it is overrun by rebellion and falling apart. He sets out to put things right but finds himself against a deadly enemy that uses his resources against himself. In desperation, he submits to another power, which destroys his enemy and teaches him how to get his life straight in the real world.
