1. A gentleman always acts in a manner conforming to the highest ideals, and always befitting the title of "gentleman".

Closeup of a sleeping man, from the nose down. He is THE GENTLEMAN. His mustache twitches as he sleeps, softly snoring. The phone rings and we get to action. As the narrator speaks, we are treated to a series of clips of the GENTLEMAN'S home, pictures showing him in various adventure type situations. Wearing an SAS uniform, carrying large weapons, on a safari standing over a dead lion, things of that sort. Interspersed thoughout are also vintage video clips of the man and images of awards, closeups of medals, we let those images speak for themselves. This man has truly lived.

NARRATOR (V.O)

The man before you is of a dying breed. He holds dear the life and creed of "the gentleman." A tenacious child, he grew up quickly, his first mustache coming in at the age of 16, the envy of his school mates. He soon after tried to enlist in Her Majesty's Armed Forces, specifically the Army, feeling he had learned all he could from his teachers. He was promptly asked to return once he had completed his GCSEs. He came back a month later, punched the recruiter square in the jaw, and was allowed to enlist. He served with distinction and honor in Her Majesty's Army before being accepted into the Special Air Service, or SAS, the special and covert operations branch of the British Military. Though having missed World War II, the young Gentleman did not go without seeing his fair share of action, as the crumbling British Empire has it's hands quite full. He was in Kenya, at the Mau Mau Uprising though 1960. It was there that he first learned the thrill of the Big Game hunt, and he has since made it a point to return once each year to enjoy the sport. From Kenya, he was assigned to Egypt for the Suez Conflict, and from there to Borneo. Then Northern Ireland and her "Troubles.' Receiving a promotion for his work in Ireland, his record falls into the redacted territory from there on, classified from prying eyes. However, he was spotted all across the globe and claims to have seen action everywhere from Russia to Vietnam to France. All in all, a colorful career.

The phone rings again, arousing him from his afternoon nap. He doesn't jump at the sudden noise, as we might, no, he merely opens his eyes, as if he was expecting that to happen. You can tell nothing surprises him. It rings three times before he answers it.

The gentleman

Hello?

He listens for a moment, solemnly.

The gentleman (CONT'D)

Moira, I need you to calm down and pull yourself together.

He gives her a moment to do so.

the gentleman (CONT'D)

Good. Now, explain to me what happened.

We can't tell what he is being told based on his facial reactions, because there are none. Again, we get the sense that nothing could unsettle this man.

The gentleman (CONT'D)

When was she attacked? I see. And have you contacted the authorities? Good, don't. (Checks his watch) It is three PM. I will be there in eight hours. Moira...There will be justice, I promise you that.

He hangs up the phone, solemnly, and stares at it for only a moment. As if he is steeling himself for what is to come. Again, his eyes betray no emotion other than the strength and resolve of a man who knows what must be done, and that he is the one to do it. He gets up from his seat.
