In a strange, unknown, world, Anatha Day is an outsider. She had been there for a year already, but she never made any real friends, aside from her fellow classmate, Tom Morrow.
Now, the entire school is talking about a strange holiday called 'The Wishingtime', and Anatha has no idea what is going on, instead busying herself with her work.
Tom Morrow vows to show her the meaning of the holiday, "letting hope travel freely on air, even in the dark.".
