A desperate man takes desperate actions to gain some kind of control in his miserable life. John Baxter has had enough of life's let-downs and reluctantly decides to carry a gun into a local conveniance store and take the clerk hostage. His demands are simple, unusual, and at first totally unknown to him. He wants to be heard. He wants to be noticed. But most of all he wants to be respected. Is that asking too much? We'll see.
