Five slacker--DYLAN, AMALIA, MAYA, LINCOLN, CATE and MALCOLM--all in their early twenties, work at a supermarket in the suburbs. They hate their job, and their boss, CALEB, doesn't make it any easier. He's a rampant micro-manager, and his employees do everything they can to undermine him.
This morning, Caleb tells them to be on their best behavior because a major corporation will be test-marketing a new product in the store. The product representative is MALLORY, Caleb's domineering girlfriend.
Mallory, ever condescending, gives the group strict instructions that the food is for CUSTOMERS ONLY--any employee eating the samplers will be strictly punished.
Models arrive to walk the aisles with the sampler plates; the boys try their best to pick up on them. The customers LOVE the samplers--they can't get enough.
Later in the afternoon, they've completely run out of sampler
Later, while smoking her crack pipe out back, Mallory comes to her senses. She thinks to herself," Jesus- if you're
a zombie, there's really no strict punishment that you could possibly even give a rat's goddamn ass about." Her skin
turned cold and began to exude an odor reminiscent of mayonnaise and she began to seriously wonder if she was
nothing more than a character in some infantile plot. A marker in a ploy. A maggot on rancid meat. A joke. Lying in
her own stench for eternity. Waiting for the punchline that never comes. Stench. Like hog shit. Leaving a bad taste
on God's creation.
