The Oldman, Bridge and Two Brothers

The Oldman, Bridge and Two Brothers

This is the story of two brothers, Gilbert the Eldest and Benjamin the youngest. The brothers received inheritance from their father, Alexander, a big piece of orchard land where at the center flow a big river that supplies all the needed water.

The last will and testament states that the Eldest son, Gilbert, will inherit the ancestral house and all that are inside it including the land where it was constructed and all the other western part which boundary is located at the center of the big river; while, the youngest son Benjamin will inherit the east part of the land.

Gilbert envied Benjamin because the part of the land which was bequeathed to him by their father was bountiful and fruit trees grow more abundantly than his piece of land. If he were to choose, he would have chosen the east part than the west part of the whole land.

Enmity between the brothers all started here.
